AncestryDNA test confirms cousins

I confirmed another new COUSIN in my new AncestryDNA.com test,
matching with the book "FAMILIES NAMED ELDER IN EAST TENNESSEE".

NancyP replied to this ANCESTRY TREE owner:
"Reviewing the matching FULL ANCESTRY.COM TREE"
at
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/15560190/person/1405353784
for LILLIARD surname: (ALSO SPELLED LILLARD):
Lee Albert "Burt" LILLIARD
Birth About 1850 in Meigs County Tennessee
Death About 1883 in Hanson, Sequoyah, Oklahoma
father:
James S Vernon LILLIARD
Birth 1829
Death 1908

In my book "Families Named ELDER in East Tennesse" by Virginia Knight Nelson, pub. 1986.
Index pages for LILLARD: ix, 11, 14, 16, 30, 31, 32, 33, 100, 101

Page 11: Nancy Elder (1809-1888) m. William LILLARD (1793-1875)

Page 32: "Benjamin Francis LILLARD (b. abt 1838 d. 1919)
was a farmer and dry-goods merchant in Meigs County...."

Nancy's brother, Henry Irwin ELDER, Y-DNA kit #10042 matches ELDER
descendants from that book with Y-DNA kits.

Full Text of the book "FAMILIES NAMED ELDER IN EAST TENNESSEE"
scanned and posted on Google Documents
with permission of the author (use surnames index at end of book for LILLARD)
also lists VERNON surname.

Nancy ordered AncestryDNA-Plus BETA Test

Today I received an invitation to the BETA DNA+ Test "FamilyFinder" from
Ancestry.com. Their kit costs $108, includes shipping. So I ordered it for myself.

AncestryDNA subscribers have said on the DNA Forums,
that this AncestryDNA+ comparison report uses Ancestry FamilyTREE entries
from subscribers, to point out cousins.

Considering the many mixups in ELDER entries on those ANCESTRY TREES,
I'm very curious to see what happens when they try to point me to a TREE.
I've already been typing alot of opposing "comments" with references
on the entries for "PAXTANG PA" mixups with "FRANKLIN CO PA" TREES,
but there are more all the time, simply copied over.
For example: Rev. John ELDER of PAXTANG PA, is entered many times as

father of our Rev. War Soldier, Robert ELDER (1730-1807) of FRANKLIN CO PA.
However, Rev. John ELDER is really the documented father of another Rev. War Soldier, Robert ELDER (1742-1818), who had no children.

I just hope I can help our ELDER research with this test, not make it worse!
Will let you know what happens!

More news about "ELDERS with an S" kit #219446" -- This kit has been
added to the I2b1 Study - titled "I-M223, where the PAXTANG ELDER kits are also now posted.
"ELDERS with an S" kit has been identified there as a "ROOTS" category,
instead of "SCOTLAND" with the PAXTANG ELDER kits, so
it's possible that this one may be  sorted eventually into a category of "Danish Vikings" from Yorkshire, England.
On our ELDER "Goals" menu,  the kit is in a category by itself with my description:
Z15 - #219446  McKinder ELDERS b. 1830 TN  (may connect with Yorkshire, Eng. - Vikings)
with my notes for his family in the USA posted

"ELDERS with an S" added to ScottishDNA chart

Hi folks,
Today I added "ELDERS with an S" kit #219446 (37 markers)
to the ScottishDNA chart
at
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Scottishdna

With the kit owner's permission,
I have also ordered the Deep Clade test ($89) for that kit.

His DNA doesn't match any other ELDER kit, not even the "PAXTANG PA" kits with I2b1 group. Their TIP comparison says:
"In comparing Y-DNA37 markers, which show 17 mismatches, the probability that (kit #17814) (PAXTANG PA) and (kit #219446) (ELDERS) shared a common ancestor ....is 0.00%
